Summary.
An improvement of 85% in pain level was observed in a group of 17 cases of
scapulo humeral periarthritis during the course of this study. One failure was noted in the case of a patient whose pain relief only reached 10 %,
After recalling the definition of what constitutes a painful shoulder in Western nosological terms, then in those of traditional Chinese medicine, a therapy linking electro-acupuncture and moxibustion was proposed according to the insufficiency or the plenitude of the Large Intestine (Sbou Yang Ming)'s Jing Jin.
By reviewing the international litterature on the subject, an explanation of this acupunctural schema is proposed.
Finally an analysis of different criteria brings this article to a close, by explaining the essential points of the treatment, such as the notions of Yang or Yin pain, of insufficiency or fullness, the notions of time, of chrono acupunctural computer treatment and those of "Ahshi" points.
